2018 4th of July Fireworks and Events in Columbia SC
It’s here! America’s birthday is always a fun time to celebrate with friends and family as we honor our country’s history and quest for independence. Lighting off fireworks is a tradition that hasn’t ceased to impress, and we’re excited to see what comes of them heading into Independence Day 2018. Take a look at some of the 2018 4th of July fireworks and events happening in Columbia SC!
You’ve seen parades on the streets, but have you ever seen a parade of boats? That’s what will be happening at the Lake Murray 4th of July Boat Parade. The parade will begin at noon and onlookers can watch from Lexington Park and Irmo Park or on the Lake Murray Dam for a small fee. After the boat parade there will be fireworks.
If you’re a baseball fan, this 4th of July might offer the chance to hit two birds with one stone. Godwin Motors is proud to support the Columbia Fireflies, a minor league baseball team affiliate of the New York Mets. They will be playing this 4th of July at 6:05 p.m. and there will be a fireworks show following!
There’s nothing more noble than honoring our nation’s military, and you can do just that by attending Military Appreciation Day at the EdVenture museum. The event will feature regular exhibits as well as plenty of activities for young kids, so bring the whole family and enjoy learning about our nation’s history.
