Godwin Motors Partners with The Cooperative Ministry
Godwin Motors is pleased to partner with The Cooperative Ministries Autos for Opportunities program for a portion of our charitable giving in 2018. Godwin Motors' goal is to donate (6) vehicles for the AFO program. We will also serve as co-host of The Cooperative Ministries financial sustainability class on Sat, April 28th, 2018. This class is free to the public.
Since 1982, The Cooperative Ministries mission has been to increase the economic self-sufficiency of people experiencing poverty in the Midlands through crisis assistance and sustainability programs.
More Information About the Autos for Opportunities Program:
Instead of trading your used vehicle, or going through the hassle of selling it yourself, consider Autos for Opportunities and forever change the life of someone in need. Your donated vehicle can be someone’s transportation to work or used to provide financial support for The Cooperative Ministry programs and services. When you donate, you may qualify for a tax write-off and pick up is free. To donate call 803-799-3853
Where Does your Donated Car Go?
Suitable vehicles will help a hard working individual right here in the Midlands, providing safe and reliable transportation for work; all other vehicles are sold at auction and proceeds will fund other programs and services of The Cooperative Ministry.
To Apply to Receive a Car:
Car Donations are given to Richland and Lexington residents who are currently employed and need transportation to get to their jobs. If you are currently walking or using public transportation to get to work, to see if you qualify to be considered for their waiting list go to coopmin.org/how-we-help/c-a-r-community-auto-repository
Godwin Motors 30th Anniversary Charitable Giving
Godwin Motors, Inc has been a community partner in the Midlands for many years. In October 2015, on behalf of Godwin Motors 30th Anniversary, the dealership contributed $3000 to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief program after the 1000 year flood. We have been a supporter of the Kiwanis Club of Columbia since 2009, Oliver Gospel Mission, Shandon Presbyterian Church, Jubilee Academy, Junior League of Columbia, Shriner’s Circus, and Movember Foundation to name a few.
Apply for Dealership Community Grant
Along with our annual dealership giving we want to offer our clients, friends and local nonprofits the opportunity to submit (1) annual grant application per year to a local Midlands nonprofit for up to $500 towards community needs. We will accept applications year round but ask for requests to be made 30 days in advance. Questions or to receive the community grant application can be emailed here. Please do not call the dealership soliciting grant applications.
